I always knew I wanted to work in health care, it just took some time for me to figure out in which field and also for the field to manifest. I attended UC Davis in CA with a double major in Pre-Med and Philosophy. After graduation I moved to Maine with the plan to be there a year, apply to medical school and move to New York or Boston. Ultimately I didn't apply to med school because I realized that traditional Western medicine was not the path for me.
I have always loved food and nutrition. Food is central to everything we do and how we feel and live. My own health issues around an unidentified autoimmune disorder and food allergies led me to look at food as medicine. After identifying my ailments and eliminating the symptoms I wondered if there was a way I could take what I learned and help others. I found the Institute for Integrative Nutrition which mirrored my philosophy that the body will heal itself by itself given the right tools.
I have learned for myself and others that no one thing, nor way of eating or exercise, works for everyone. I have found what works for me and together we co-create a completely personalized action plan based on your goals for your ideal vision of health within your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and resources.
I look forward to helping you create balance in your life.
